Fine Print
There really isn’t much. One key point is coaching is not...
therapy
consulting
training
spiritual direction
If you think you might need counseling or mental health care, I am not a licensed mental health provider. If you are in danger, please call 988 (in the US). While I do provide training in other contexts, coaching is not training. Likewise, it’s not consulting. My job as a coach is not to teach or advise you, but rather to support your own deliberation. As it is a partnership, it is helpful for you to come to the table with a topic in mind or some ideas about where you’d like the conversation to go.
Paperwork-wise, I issue clients a simple contract based on International Coaching Federation standards and ethics. We agree upon the time, frequency, and duration of coaching during the free consultation. Please sign and return the contract before our first session together.
1st Session: 45 minutes
Subsequent Sessions: 30 minutes

”I always looked forward to my calls with Anna because I knew she would provide a patient, listening ear as I talked through my thoughts and feelings. She asked great questions and helped me make sense of the things that I couldn't pull together. She encouraged me to turn my ideas into actionable plans and objectives, and I knew she was always available for any questions or concerns that came up. Having Anna as a guide was super valuable to me!”
“Anna's expertise in helping me establish clear goals has been nothing short of transformative. The tangible steps she introduced have significantly improved my approach to both personal and professional growth. Her insight into conducting crucial conversations has empowered me to communicate more effectively, and the thought-provoking questions she posed have challenged me to delve deeper into my aspirations and the paths to achieve them. Her uncanny ability to reflect back my thoughts has provided me with clarity and insight that I was previously unable to articulate. This unique talent, evident in both our spoken exchanges and the written after-session summaries she meticulously crafted, has been instrumental in my progress. The SMART goals she laid out after each session, coupled with the curated resources she provided, have been a compass guiding me towards my ambitions. Moreover, her follow-up communications have been a source of encouragement, striking a great balance between holding me accountable and offering support without a hint of judgment. Her professionalism, empathy, and genuine investment in my success have left an indelible mark on my journey. I am deeply appreciative of the time, energy, and wisdom she has shared with me. Please accept my heartfelt thanks!"
"What I appreciate about Anna was how she could synthesize all that was going on in my brain when discussing all the projects I had going on. I liked how she put my thoughts around to-dos into bite-sized chunks. She is very professional yet very approachable and friendly. I felt like she was on my team, cheering me on every step of the way!"
Testimonials
“I have had a variety of professional training in my career, but I have never had a professional, personal coach who helped me organize priorities and then give step-by-step strategies to accomplish those goals. Anna asks pertinent questions, listens carefully, and gives relevant and applicable feedback. I wish I had invested in a professional coach decades ago.”

Wait, what's coaching again?
Coaching is a dedicated time for you to reflect and define how to move forward. The coach serves as a thought partner to allow you to actively deliberate and gain clarity on a topic you identify as important. It’s a creative and strategic conversation focused on you. Coaches provide structure and accountability to support the goals that you determine. A coaching session is primarily composed of active listening and reflective questions designed to propel your own thinking forward.
Is this "life coaching"? Why type of coaching do you do?
Locus Learning leans more into the executive (as you in you executing) coaching space or career (strategizing work topics) coaching but sometimes it ends up looking like "life coaching" when the topics are personal. Ultimately, you are the same person at work as you are not at work, so topics often blur and that’s just fine. It’s better to address the whole person than to compartmentalize. How professional or personal your topics are depends on you and your preferences. We follow ICF ethics and standards so session are based in verbal reflection and thought-partnership, not advising.
